Cause of her death was 'phtisis pulmonalis' over 2 months and 'haemophysis'. Other names for Ann were QUIGLEY, Annie, TWEEDLEY, Ann,6 WOOD, Annie, WOODS, Ann 1 2 and WOODS, Annie. General Notes: The 1841 census for Galston in Ayrshire, Scotland, recorded James Wood and Mrs Agnes Wood and their four children living at Greenholm Nelson Street. The third child was Anne Wood. She was 4 years old and had been born in Ayrshire. Medical Notes: G. J. Meikle LRCP & S (ED) certified the causes of death. Ann married Michael QUIGLY, son of John QUIGLY (DNA Linked) and Catharine LYNAS (DNA Linked), on 3 June 1864 in St Joseph's RC Chapel, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 (Michael QUIGLY was born on 25 June 1836 in Crossley, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland 3 4, baptised on 31 July 1836 in St Mirin's RC Chapel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland and died 26 January 1895 at 7.40 pm in Chapel Lane, Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland 8.). The cause of his death was chronic catarrh of lungs of uncertain duration. Marriage Notes: The couple were married according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. They were married by Fr John McLachlan RCC who also witnessed the marks of bride and groom. The other witnesses to this were Edward McDonald, John McGary and Catherine McLaughlin. The certificate was issued by J. Gregory, registrar. |
