QUIGLEY, Catherine 1
Cause of her death was cerebral haemorrhage. Other names for Catherine were FREEMAN, Catherine and TWEEDLY, Catherine. General Notes: When the 1871 census was taken on the 3 April Catherine was less than a month old. She was living in Iron Work Square with her family in a house with only one windowed room. She was probably named after her grandmother Catherine Lynas Quigley. Medical Notes: Isabelle G. R. Nimmo MB ChB certified the cause of death. Catherine married James FREEMAN, son of James FREEMAN and Catherine DUFF, on 5 June 1926 in St Sophia's Chapel, Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland. (James FREEMAN was born on 21 May 1874 in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire, Scotland and died between 1926 and 1954.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was solemnised after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was John Murphy, RC Clergyman of St Sophia's Galston. The witnesses were William Freeman of 9 Irvine Road Kilmarnock, and Susan McIlroy of Orchard Street Galston. |
