"Mowat Alexander and Elizabeth Anderson had a Daughter born the 12th September and Baptised the 19th September called Isabell Witnesses George Anderson & Wm Marshall"

In 1841 the census for St John's Haddington East Lothian recorded Isobel Haimes living in Church Street with three of her sons and one daughter. Isobel was placed in the 55-59 years age category and had been born in the county in which she was living. She was independent of occupation.

Isabella Haimes was recorded by the 1851 census as head of the small household consisting of herself and her son John, a shoemaker, living at St Ann's Place Haddington East Lothian. She was recorded as 72 years of age and had been born in Haddington.

Isabella Haimes died in 1859. Her death certificate recorded her as 80 years of age and a widow. Apart from the fact that her father's surname was Muat and that he was a shoemaker, no other information was recorded about her parents. 1 2 3 6 8 15
