"12 January 1817

HAMES George shoemaker and Isable Muat had a son born 14 December 1816 and baptized 12 January 1817 named Thomas witnesses William Marshal and Thomas Muat"

In 1841 the census for St John's Haddington East Lothian recorded Thomas Haimes living in Church Street with his mother and siblings Charles, John and Jean. Thomas was placed in the 20-24 years age category and had been born in the county in which he was living. He was a bootmaker by trade. 2 3


Thomas married Mary Ann DORHAM, daughter of John DORHAM and Unknown, on 23 August 1863 in Holy Trinity, Marylebone Road, Westminster, London, England.1 (Mary Ann DORHAM was born about 1823 in Holcombe or Wellington, Somerset, England 4 5.)
