"27 April 1800

HAMES George and Isabel Muat daughter born 19th and baptized 27 April name Jennet witnesses George Muat and William Marshal"

In 1881 janet Skinner, aged 80 years, was living in the home of her sister Jane and Jane's husband Thomas Spence at 16 Cairns Close, Haddington.

When Janet Skinner died in 1885 she was recorded in her death certificate as 85 years old and "Widow of John Skinner Shoe Maker". Her parents were both deceased. ^{1 3 6}

Thomas Spence, Janet's brother in law, was the informant of her death. ³

Jennet married John SKINNER. (John SKINNER was born about 1791 in Edinburgh, Scotland ⁵ and died before 8 July 1885 ².)
