  General Notes:

Agness was recorded as part of the household in the 1841 census. Agness was recorded as aged 11 years, 3 years younger than her sister, Margaret, and two years older than James.

In 1851 the census for Dalry in Ayrshire recorded Agnes McCallum living at Drakemire with her husband and 1 year old daughter. Agnes was recorded as being 22 years old and born in Kilmarnock parish.

Agnes McCallum was living in Strathbungo, south of Glasgow, with her husband and two sons when the 1861 census for Govan parish was taken. The family lived right next to Rebecca McCall and her husband, Agnes' niece. Agnes was recorded as 30 years of age and had been born in Kilmarnock parish, Ayrshire - probably Crookedholm.

The 1871 census for Bridgeton, Glasgow, recorded Agnes McCallum living at 32 Orr Street in Calton with her husband and her 19 year old son. Like her husband, she was recorded as 40 years of age, and her birthplace, again like her husband's, as Ayrshire.

In 1873, a few months after her husband's death, Agnes McCallum nee George was the informant of the death of her son, Samuel, aged 21 years, where she had been present. She gave notice before David Murray, registrar, at Glasgow on 5 August 1873, and made her X mark.

In the 1881 census for Govan parish, Agnes Colquhoun was recorded living with her second husband, David, at 164 Sandyfaulds Street. She was a washerwoman by occupation. Her birthplace was recorded as Crooked Holm Ayrshire, and her age as 59 years.

The 1891 census found Agnes Colquhoun living in the home of her brother, James, at Bridge Lodge in the parish of St Quivox. She was entered as the 'aunt' of the head of the household, which suggests one of the children of James may have given that information. She was a widow, aged 61 years, and her occupation was 'boothy woman'. Her birthplace was Kilmarnock.

In 1901 Agnes McCallum was living in Gardners [sic] Bothy, situated near Bridge Lodge where her brother James lived, in the parish of St Quivox. She was recorded as being a widow, aged 72 years, and born in Kilmarnock parish. Her occupation was 'bothy woman'.

In her death certificate of 1910, Agnes George was recorded as 'pauper, widow of 1] John McCallum railway platelayer and 2] David Colquhoun railway surfaceman'. She died at the poorhouse but her former residence was noted as Benview Terrace, Bishopbriggs. Her recorded age at death was 81 years. 2 3 4 5 6 8 11 12 13

David Colquhoun, who made his X mark, was aged 46 years and a widower. He lived at 2 Warwick Street Glasgow. He worked as a railway labourer. His parents were deceased.

Agnes McGeorge [sic] or McCallum, who made her X mark, was a widow of 43 years of age. She was a washer and cleaner, and shared the same address as the groom. Her parents too were dead.
