Catherine Lynch's birth was notified to the registrar by her mother on 1 April 1893. Her mother signed 'E. Lynch' before the registrar at Blantyre, George Harris.

Kate Lynch was recorded as aged 8 years by the 1901 census. She was living with her parents and family in Blantyre at 69 Dixon Street. She had been born in Blantyre. ²

Catherine married John GALLAGHER, son of John GALLAGHER and Mary Helen DOCHERTY, on 31 December 1910 in St Joseph's RC Chapel, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (John GALLAGHER was born about 1882 in England ^{1 3}.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after Banns and according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. Thomas Hackett was the celebrant priest and the witnesses were Martin Gallacher [sic] and Catherine Kelly.

John Gallagher was a bachelor aged 25 years. He worked as a coal miner and lived at 78 Merry's Rows, Blantyre.

Catherine Lynch was also unmarried and aged 18 years. Her address was 69 Dixon Street and she worked as a brass picker.

The marriage was registered at Blantyre on 5 January 1911, James Brown being the signing registrar.
