  General Notes:

On 7 September 1842 an Anne Quigley was the sponsor at the baptisms of Martha, daughter of Thomas Quigley and Martha Dogherty in St Andrew's RC Chapel, Glasgow.

When Ann died in 1874, her death certificate recorded her "Widow of James Wade Cotton Spinner (deceased)". Her age at death was recorded as 75 years. Her parents were deceased. 3 5 8

  Medical Notes:

William Hunter MD certified the cause of Ann's death.

The informant was Elizabeth McKenzie, Ann's daughter, who made her X mark before the registrar, Alexander Smith, at Rothesay on 12 August 1874.

Ann married James WADE Cotton Spinner on 26 October 1819 in St Mirin's RC Chapel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. (James WADE Cotton Spinner was born about 1797 and died before 30 March 1857.)


  Marriage Notes:

The Old Parish Marriage Register of High Church Parish Paisley records in Proclamations under 'Wade' for the 10 October 1819 (a Sunday). 'James Wade and Ann Quigly both in this parish'.

These were the start of the banns for the marriage, called in the Established Church in High Church Parish Paisley. The excerpt from the OPR ends 'Married 26th October 1819 by James McLachlane Catholic Clergyman'. In the right hand column reads '3 days' and '1 (shilling)'.
