O'BRIEN, Michael
Other names for Michael were O'BRIAN, Michael, O'BRINE, Michael 2 and O'BRINN, Michal. General Notes: In 1841 the census recorded a family living at Rawyards in the parish of New Monkland. The head of the household was Michal O'Brinn [sic], a coal miner born in Ireland. His age was in the 35-39 years range. Living with him was his wife Marry [sic], their seven children, and what may have been two boarders: Duncan Brown (13 years) a coal miner born in Lanarkshire, and John Sherrey (30-34 years) also a coal miner, born in Ireland. Michael married Mary McCULLOCH, daughter of Andrew McCULLOCH and Mary SHERIFF. (Mary McCULLOCH was born on 11 September 1801 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland 1 5, baptised on 20 September 1801 in High Church Parish, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland 5 and died 2 February 1875 at 9.00 pm in 901 High Street, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland 4.). The cause of her death was paralysis over 2 days. |
