  General Notes:

Rose Ann was recorded as aged 5 years in 1841 when the census was taken. She had been born in Lanarkshire and lived with her parents at Rawyards near Airdrie.

The 1851 census for New Monkland, Lanarkshire recorded Rosa Obrien living at Mill Row with her mother and 6 brothers and sisters. She was recorded as age 15 years and had been born in New Monkland parish. She was a cotton carder. ³
