   Cause of his death was myocarditis and cardiac failure.¹

The 1901 census for Blantyre recorded James as 6 years old and a scholar.

John Kelly's son, James Kelly, who had been present where the death occurred, gave notice of his father's death before the registrar, J. Barr, at Blantyre, on 14 November 1939. The informant's address was noted as 64 Kilnside Road, Paisley.

When James Kelly died in 1983 his death certificate recorded him as 88 years old and a widower. He was a retired airbag builder. His son in law James McGuinness, of 2 Montgomery Avenue Paisley, gave notice of his death. ¹
