The 1871 Washington State and Territorial Census for Clark County, Washington Territory, recorded Isabelle Quigley, a white female, 16 years old and born in Washington Territory with parents of non US birth.

Isabel and her husband and two sons were recorded in 1880 by the US Census living in Vancouver, Clark County in Washington State. The census entry described her as aged 26 years and as having been born in Washington State. Her job was to keep house, and presumably to care for her two small sons. The entry noted her father as having been born in Scotland and her mother as being born in Ireland.

The 1900 Federal US Census for Washington State recorded Albert and Isabel Bateman and their two children, both of whom were at school, living on Ninth Street in Vancouver Precinct, Clark County. Isabel was noted as being Albert's wife, aged 46 years, having been born in February 1854 (this is a bit at variance with other sources). In the column asking about the number of years married, the number 20 is written and crossed out, with 14 replacing it, the same number as Albert's. The census also recorded that Isabel had had five children of whom four were living. The rest of the information about Isabel recorded That she had been born in Washington state, that her father had been born in Scotland, her mother in Ireland, and that she herself could read, write and speak English.

In 1920 the US Census recorded Isabel bateman, a widow, living at 308 West Ninth Street in Vancouver, Clark, Washington. She kept home, and her home was mortgage free. Her son Ray, aged 25 years and working as a boiler maker, lived with her.

The Washington State Records recorded Isabelle Quigley or Bateman as 72 years old when she died in 1927. Her parents' names are noted as Arthur Quigley and Jane Thomson. 10
