  General Notes:

Andrew's father, James Lynch, registered his birth on 9 February 1900 at Blantyre.

Andrew Lynch was recorded as aged 1 year by the 1901 census for Lanarkshire, Scotland. He lived in Blantyre with his parents and family at 69 Dixon Street. Blantyre was his birthplace.

The 1911 census for Blantyre recorded James Lynch, a widower, living in a dwelling with one windowed room at 69 Dixon Street with four children aged from 7 years to 16 years. Andrew Lynch was the third eldest child living with him and was 11 years old and born in Blantyre. He was school.

In 1929 Andrew was the informant recorded on his father's death certificate. Andrew's address then was noted as 153 Walker Street, North Sydney.

Andrew came home to the UK on a visit from Australia in the mid-sixties, and went 'missing' for a period, getting into the local Motherwell/Wishaw paper when he eventually 'surfaced' to visit his sister, Alice. He had been in hospital in England

One of Andrew's nieces recalled how he always brought presents for all the children when he came home to visit them from Australia, which were special treats for them and much looked forward to and enjoyed.

Andrew died in Australia in 1975 at 54 Organs Road. From another certificate, this address seems to have been the Bulli District Hospital. He was recorded as having been a coal miner and to have been 75 years old. He had never married. His place of birth had been Blantyre, Scotland and he had been 52 years in Australia. 3

  Medical Notes:

Andrew's death certificate recorded that an inquest was dispensed with.

The causes of death were certified by L. B. Shilling, Coroner's Delegate.

D. Lynch, brother of the deceased, of 3 Parker Street, Northbridge gave notice of Andrew's death.

The death was registered on 23 December 1975, the registrar general being J. Watson.

Andrew was buried on 17 December 1975 at the Catholic Cemetery, Bulli 2
