   Cause of his death was anaemia (7 days), nephrosclerosis (1 year), arteriosclerosis (20 years), and congestive cardiac disease (5 years).

  General Notes:

In 1898 it was his father, James, who gave notice of James Lynch's birth before the registrar at Blantyre, a few days after the baby was born.

James Lynch was recorded as aged 2 years by the 1901 census. He lived in Blantyre at 69 Dixon Street with his parents and siblings. He had been born in Blantyre.

The 1911 census for Blantyre recorded James Lynch, a widower, living in a dwelling with one windowed room at 69 Dixon Street with four children aged from 7 years to 16 years. James Lynch junior was the second eldest child living with him and was 14 years old and born in Blantyre. No occupation at all was noted for him.

James died in Australia in 1971. He was recorded as having been a coal miner, and to have been 72 years at the time of his death. His birthplace was Blantyre, Scotland and he had resided in Australia 49 years. He had never married. 1 2

F. K. Bartlett certified the causes of death.

A. Lynch, brother of the deceased, of 54 Organs Road, Bulli, registered the death of James before the registrar, Rosemary Vandenbergh.

James was buried on 20 March 1971 at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bulli. A. S. Cole was the undertaker and A. J. Whitty was the Roman Catholic priest who presided. The witnesses were Ross Cole and A. L. Quinn. 2
