The 1861 census recorded John Quin aged 9 years and living with his family at 3 Palacecraigs Old Monkland. He had been born in Bothwell parish.

John Quin was dead when his son married Annie Feely. He was described in their marriage lines as a shoemaker journeyman.

John was the informant of his father's death in 1883. His father's death certificate noted his address as 'Coatdyke'. 2 3 5


John married Elizabeth O'DONNELL. (Elizabeth O'DONNELL was born about 1850 and died after 4 June 1883.)
