The census of 1841 recorded Margaret Queen living with her family and a family of Kennedys (parents Cathrine and John and children Margaret and Mary) at New Dundyvan in the parish of Old Monkland. Margaret was aged in the 35-39 years range and had been born in Ireland. She
had six children to care for aged between 3 years and 13 years.


A ' Margaret Quin' was baptismal sponsor for William Quin, son of William Quin and Mary Vallaley on 28 November 1843 in St Margaret's RC Chapel Airdrie. 4 5


Margaret married James QUIN (DNA Link), son of John QUIN and Unknown, on 4 July 1825 in Dungannon parish, County Tyrone, Ireland.1 (James QUIN (DNA Link) was born in 1804 in Ireland 4 and died before January 1883.)
