Note: Blary is south of Barr Water and east of Glenbarr Abbey, almost equidistant between Tayinloan and Killocraw. It is also referred to as Auchadaduie.


John married Agnes McNaughton in 1862 and had a son Thomas.

"The McKendricks sailed from Liverpool 16 Sept.1863 to Australia, as Assisted Passengers with their infant son, Thomas McKendrick, on the Gresham arriving 11 Dec.1863 Melbourne.
John McKendrick was recorded as a Ploughman by occupation.
Five more McKendrick children were born to Agnes and John, in the Mordialloc/ Cheltenham area of Melbourne.
John McNaughton ran a Slaughter House and Butcher Shop with Thomas McKendrick at Wallan and Kilmore respectively.

John married Agnes McNAUGHTON, daughter of Thomas McNAUGHTON and Nanie DRAIN, on 2 December 1862 in Southend, Argyll, Scotland.1 (Agnes McNAUGHTON was born about 1844 in Campbeltown parish, Argyll, Scotland 6 and died in 1930 in Wallan, Victoria, Australia.)
