Other names for William were GORDON, William of Faskin 4 and GORDON, Wm. General Notes: William was a merchant in Norway. He sold his estate to Lord Findlater. William married Margaret DUFF, daughter of James DUFF of Crombie and Jean MELDRUM heiress of Crombie, in 1725 in Rathven parish, Banffshire, Scotland.1 (Margaret DUFF was born in 1700 7 and died in 1789 7.)
