"(Note: this part refers to the first William Gordon of Farskane)

"The burial grounds of the Families of Farskin and Findochty were enclosed by William Gordon-Duff of Eden, and William Dunbar of Nether Buckie, descendants of these families, a.d. 1799. - Gordon, who was designed of Farsken in 1649, married Helen, daughter of Duff of Braco, and niece to the first Earl of Fife." "William Gordon was third laird of Farskane, Rathven. He married Helen, second daughter of Alexander Duff of Bracco. Dr. Cramond states that he was implicated in the rising of the Fifteen, but on what grounds the Editor cannot find. He died in 1735."

"Braco died in 1705, aged about 54, and left an only son, William, with a Land Estate of near £3000 str. a year; and three Daughters. Margaret married to Gordon of Glengaroch, Helen to William Gordon of Faskine, and Mary to Alexander Abercrombie of Tillebody."
