Robert next married Katharine GORDON, daughter of Robert GORDON 6th of Pitlurg and Katherine BURNETT, 30 July 1667(contract).² (Katharine GORDON was born about 1644, died by 4 November 1692 ^{7 8} and was buried on 4 November 1692 in Montrose parish, Angus, Scotland ⁸.). The cause of her death was consumption.
