Maurice Lauder's first of three wives and probably a daughter of George Home, laird of Broxmouth given that he settled lands at Broxmouth upon Maurice and his wife.
They had seven children.
Nicolas Home's Testament Dative was given up by her husband Maurice Lauder on 23rd December 1569 at Edinburgh. He described himself as 'tutor & administrator for her children Robert, John, Janet, Helen, Margaret and Nicolas.[1Edinburgh Commissariot Court, CC8/8/1.] Curiously the elder son William is not named here. Possibly he was already 21 or over."

Maurice Lauder's second wife. Refer the Testament Testamentar drawn up by herself on 6th October 1580 and registered at Edinburgh on 27th February 1582.[1Commissariot of Edinburgh CC8/8/10.] Her date of death is recorded as 2nd November 1580. Her witnesses were George Home, laird of Broxmouth, John Kellie, elder, Alexander Cauldecleugh ['grieve' or overseer to Sir Robert Lauder of Poppil], William Bunkill, notary public.
Her inventory was considerable: £1110/6/8. She states that she is owed money by [the late] Robert Lauder of The Bass [d.June 1576) and also his son Mr James Lauder [k.1580]. Her overall list of debts due to her was £601.15s. There is a reference to Robert Lauder in Tyninghame; and another to Robert Lauder, son to Maurice, with regard to money due to him, from his late mother's testament - he was her executor dative.

In a Precept of Sasine in a Charter dated 5th July 1594, William Lauder, Burgess of Dunbar, with the consent of Margaret Home his spouse, gives the west part of the Kirkland lying in the Winterfield, plus a small acre in the crofts of Belhaven lying next to the tenament and garden of Maurice Lauder, to Alison Cass, wife of said Maurice Lauder. One of the witnesses was George Lauder, son of Alexander Lauder in Belhaven.[1National Archives of Scotland, RH6/3271]
In Maurice Lauder's Testament testamentar written on 5th April 1602 at Belhaven (proved at Edinburgh on 9th March 1603) he mentions his third wife ALISON CASS as his Executrix, and also mentions their two children, girls named Janet & Isobel. His Cautioner was named as 'Wm.Lauder eldest lawful son to the defunct.' "
