  Research Notes:

LEDIKEN

Although seemingly not present in large numbers in Aberdeenshire, the Lediken family go back at least to the last quarter of the 17th century in that county. They were present mainly but not exclusively in the parish of Rayne.

'Lediken' or 'Ledikan' is a variation of the surname 'Leadingham', which has other variants too. This spelling is found almost entirely in the parish of Rayne, Aberdeenshire.

Anne married James HOME in Pitmachie, son of William HOME in Bogandie and Mary McWILLIAM, on 5 May 1776 in Oyne parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (James HOME in Pitmachie was baptised on 5 January 1741 in Oyne parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 3 6 and died on 22 March 1790 in Oyne parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 7.)
