Janet married William SOMERVILLE Baron of Carnwath, Master of Somerville, son of John SOMERVILLE 3rd (2nd) Lord Somerville and Helen HEPBURN, after 12 October 1478.1 2 (William SOMERVILLE Baron of Carnwath, Master of Somerville was born about 1453,2 died by 14 November 1491 2 and was buried in 1491 in Carnwath, Lanarkshire, Scotland.)

"Secondly, he (Sir Alexander Gordon of Lochinvar) married, by Papal dispensation on account of consanguinity, Janet, daughter of Sir William Douglas of Drumlanrig, and widow of William, Master of Somerville."

He (William Somerville) is said to have married .... secondly, Janet, daughter of William Douglas of Drumlanrig, to whom he had been affianced as early as 12 October 1478. She was afterwards married to Sir Alexander Gordon, younger of Lochinvar. He had issue:
(1) John, third Lord,
(2) Hugh, fourth Lord.
(3) Mary, married to James Lockhart of Lee, and had issue."

Janet next married Sir Alexander GORDON of Lochinvar, son of Sir John GORDON of Lochinvar and Kenmure and Annabella BOYD.1 (Sir Alexander GORDON of Lochinvar was born about 1465 and died on 9 September 1513 in Battle of Flodden Field, Northumberland, England 1.)
