Anne married William GORDON 2nd Earl of Aberdeen, son of Sir George GORDON 3rd Baronet of Haddo, 1st Earl of Aberdeen, Chancellor of Scotland and Anne LOCKHART heiress of Tarbrax, on 9 December 1729 in Bellie parish, Moray, Scotland.1 (William GORDON 2nd Earl of Aberdeen was born on 21 December 1679, baptised on 22 December 1679 in Methlick parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland,5 died on 30 March 1745 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland 3 and was buried on 15 April 1745 in Methlick parish Churchyard, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 6.)

William (Gordon) bought the estate of Fyvie in Aberdeenshire in 1733 for his third wife Anne Gordon, daughter of the Duke of Gordon, and her children since the Haddo estate was to pass to his eldest son of a previous marriage. When he died in 1745 Fyvie passed to his 9 year old son William.
