In her death certificate of 1874 Christina-Amelia Carmichael was recorded as "married to Archibald Carmichael wright". Her recorded age was 69 years. Her parents were both dead. 5 6 9

Archibald Carmichael, husband, who had been present where his wife died, gave notice of Christina's death on 7 August 1874 at Maryculter. 6

The cause of his death was cardiac disease of unknown duration and congestion of the lungs over 2 days.6
