"Christian Stuart" was recorded by the 1841 census for Tomintoul in Banffshire living with Christian Carmichael in the east side of the village. The 1841 census in its format does not record relationships. In the household there also lived Donald, Margaret, Christian and William, children of Christian Carmichael. Christian Stuart was recorded as 75 years old (or possibly in the 75-79 years range) and had been born in Banffshire. Christian Carmichael was in the 30-34 years range, and the children were aged from 7 years to 1 month. ³

Christina married James Charles GORDON 'of Glenbucket', son of Captain William GORDON 'of Glenbucket', Jacobite 1745 and Christina MACDONALD.¹ (James Charles GORDON 'of Glenbucket' was born about 1772.)

"In memory of Christina Amelia Gordon wife of Archibald Carmichael who died at Blairs of the 5th August 1874 aged 69 years R.I.P. A;so Archibald Carmichael above named who died at Bellshill on 27th June 1885 aged 84 years R.I.P."
