"Christian Stuart" was recorded by the 1841 census for Tomintoul in Banffshire living with Christian Carmichael in the east side of the village, so it may be this woman, although the 1841 census in its format does not record relationships. In the household there also lived Donald, Margaret, Christian and William, children of Christian Carmichael. Christian Stuart was recorded as 75 years old (or possibly in the 75-79 years range) and had been born in Banffshire. Christian Carmichael was in the 30-34 years range, and the children were aged from 7 years to 1 month. If the woman recorded in the 1841 census was Christian carmichael's mother, and the ages are fairly accurate, then Christian Carmichael must have a been a "late baby". ²

Christina married James Charles GORDON, son of Captain William GORDON of Glenbucket, Jacobite 1745 and Christina MACDONELL. (James Charles GORDON was born about 1773.)
