A witness at Sarah McInarney's wedding in 1857 was named Elizabeth McInarney. It was possibly this woman.

Elizabeth McCormick was recorded by the 1891 census living at 91 Rose Street with her husband and five of her children, aged between 6 years and 18 years. She herself was recorded as 51 years of age and her birthplace was Ireland.

Elizabeth was recorded in her death certificate of 1911 as the widow of James McCormick, shoemaker, and aged 72 years. Both of her parents were deceased.

Her son, Francis McCormick, of 48 New Wynd, Trongate, Glasgow, who had been present where his mother's death occurred, gave notice of her death before the registrar, James Graham, on 1 June 1911 at Carluke.

Elizabeth married James McCORMICK, son of George McCORMICK and Helen McCONNEL, on 6 December 1858 in Free West Manse, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (James McCORMICK was born about 1837 in Ireland and died before 1 June 1911.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place, after banns, according to the forms of the Free Church of Scotland. The minister was William Jackson, minister of Free West Church, Airdrie. The witnesses were William Laurie and Margaret Campbell.

James McCormick was a single man, living at 21 South Bridge Street Airdrie. He was aged 21 years and worked as a shoemaker.

Elizabeth McNerny of Aitchison Street, Airdrie was aged 20 years and single.

The marriage was registered on 8 December 1858 at Airdrie, William Landless, being the signing registrar.
