Cause of his death was carcinoma of the colon, cachexia, anuria, and heart failure.4 Another name for Alexander was NISBET, Sandy.5 General Notes: The 1871 census for Edinburgh St Giles recorded Alexander living at 1 Milne Square with his family. Alexander married Margaret PUGH, daughter of Robert PUGH and Ellen FREEBORN, on 18 November 1887 in Sidney Hall Congregational Church, 4 West Newington Place, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 2 3 (Margaret PUGH was born on 9 February 1868 in Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh, Scotland 6 and died before 22 December 1939 4 7.) Marriage Notes: The marriage took place according to the forms of the Congregational Church. A.D. Robertson, Minister of Sidney Hall Congregational Church, Edinburgh presided. The witnesses were Alfred Kidson and Margaret Muir. |
