Sarah Ann was a twin. The 1871 census recorded her as aged 4 months.
When the 1891 census was taken, Sarah Anne was an unmarried woman aged 20 years, working in the brick work. She lived with one sister, two brothers and her parents at 8 Boness Road, Chapelhall. Her place of birth was recorded as Cleland, Lanarkshire.
When Sarah Ann Trainer died in 1947, her death certificate recorded her as "married to Hugh Trainer Coal Miner, Retired". Her age at death was noted as 77 years. Her parents were deceased. Lawrence Trainer, her son, of 12 Hyslop Street Airdrie, gave notice of her death before the registrar at Holytown on 5 December 1947. 2 4
