Unity Henry, James' wife, was already a widow when the census of 1851 was taken.

When Unity Henry died in 1873 her death certificate recorded that she was the widow of James Henry, butler. ^{1 2}

James married Unity JAMIESON, daughter of Michael JAMIESON and Bridget BRADLEY. (Unity JAMIESON was born in 1798 in Ireland ^{1 3} and died 22 April 1873 at 8.20 pm in Turfholm, Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, Scotland ¹.). The cause of her death was general debility with inflammatory action of bowels over about 3 weeks.
