Cause of her death was general debility with inflammatory action of bowels over about 3 weeks.1 Other names for Unity were HENDRIE, Unity 2 and HENRY, Unity.1 General Notes: The 1851 census for Lesmahagow recorded Unity Henry living in Turfholm Street with her five children and two grandsons. She was a widow and recorded as 51 years old. Her birthplace was Ireland and her occupation a ---laundress. Unity's two grandsons were James Henry and James Redfern, both aged 2 years. The first was born in Lanark, the second in Lesmahagow. Medical Notes: A.N.Lindsay, surgeon, certified the cause of death. Unity married James HENRY. (James HENRY was born about 1795 and died before 30 March 1851 1.) |
