Grace was recorded in the 1841 census, aged in the 35-39 years range. Her birthplace was Ayrshire, Scotland.

The 1851 census for Riccarton recorded 'Grizel George' living with her husband, Moses, and two children at Crompton Street. She was 47 years old and had been born in Riccarton parish. She worked as a tambourer.

In 1861 the census recorded Grace George living in a house with one windowed room, in Crompton Street in the parish of Riccarton. She was 56 years, according to the entry, and had been born in Riccarton. Only her husband lived with her.

When Grace George died in 1883 she was recorded in her death certificate as 'widow of Moses George shoemaker (journeyman)' and her age as 77 years. Both of her parents were deceased. ^{5 6 7 9 10 11}

John George, Grace's son, who had been present, gave notice of her death before the registrar at Newmilns, Allan Jackson, on 7 May 1883. ⁷

Grace married Moses GEORGE, son of Moses GEORGE (DNA Linked) and Margaret REID (DNA Linked), on 23 September 1826 in Riccarton parish, Ayrshire, Scotland.^{1 2} (Moses GEORGE was born in 1798 in County Down, Ireland ^{3 6} and died 15 May 1867 at 7.30pm in Riccarton parish, Ayrshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was Consumption of 4 months duration.⁷
