General Notes: Ellen McInairney was recorded by the 1871 census living with her husband and small daughter, Catherine, in Gartsherrie, Old Monkland Parish, the parish where Ellen had been born. She was 22 years old and worked as a cotton mill girl. Helen married Michael McENARNEY, son of Patrick McNERNEY and Catherine McCONVILL, on 26 November 1866 in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Michael McENARNEY was born about 1839 in Ireland 7 and died 17 October 1914 at 7.45 am in 12 Hall Street, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was arteriosclerosis, myocarditis and cardiac failure. Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was Father Michael O'Keeffe CC. The witnesses were Neil Mullen and Anne Moore. |
