Michael and Agnes Quigley were recorded in the 1841 census with three small children.

Michael Quigley applied for parish relief in 1878. By that time he was 75 years old and married to his third wife. The application included information about Agnes, his first wife. Agnes died, it said, in 1841 in Ayr. Three children from that marriage were named: Helen, Thomas and John.

The son of Michael and Agnes, Thomas, married Mary Pettigrew in 1862 in Bridgeton. ^{5 6}

Agnes married Michael QUIGLEY, son of Thomas QUIGLEY and Helen McQUILLAN, on 1 February 1828 in St Margaret's RC Church, Ayr, Scotland.¹ (Michael QUIGLEY was born about 1807 in near Old Tower, Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland ⁵ and died 12 January 1889 at 4.00 am in 5 Society Street, Glasgow, Scotland.). The cause of his death was probably diarrhoea of 8 days duration and debility.
