QUIGLEY, Helen
(1830-) |
QUIGLEY, Helen
Other names for Helen were QUIGLAY, Helen 4 and QUIGLY, Helen.5 General Notes: Although the 1841 census did not say so specifically, it looks as if Helen was the daughter of Michael and Agnes Quigly. She was aged 10 years, living in Elba Street, Wallacetown. Helen married William McCRAE on 30 December 1861 in Wallacetown, St Quivox Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 (William McCRAE was born about 1830.) Marriage Notes: In the marriage certificate Helen's parents were recorded as Michael Quiglay and Helen Bryan deceased- which sounds like a combination of Helen McWhinnie and Agnes Bryson. Possibly one was her natural mother and the other raised her. |
