  General Notes:

David's father, John McCormick, was the informant of his birth before the registrar at Glasgow on 4 February 1921. His occupation was noted as foundry labourer.

Margaret Kane's son, D. McCormick, (probably David), of 132 Allander Street gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar at Glasgow on 9 January 1948.

David McCormick's age at death was recorded as 65 years. He was a married man who had been a social worker before he retired. Both of his parents were deceased. 2 3

C. E. Langan certified the cause of death.

David's son, John McCormick, of 39 Forth Wynd, Port Seton, notified the registrar of his father's death on 7 May 1985.


David married Elizabeth KANE, daughter of Patrick KANE and Elizabeth QUINN, on 26 March 1951 in St Bridget's RC Church, Baillieston, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Elizabeth KANE was born about 1919.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Father John Moss, assistant priest St Bridget's, 15 Swinton Road, Baillieston. The witnesses were Thomas McCormick of 40 Greenshields Road, Baillieston, and Mary McIntyre of 33 Eversley Street, Tollcross.

The bridegroom was an unmarried man of 31 years of age who was a tailor's presser. He lived at 109 Robertson Terrace, Baillieston. His mother was deceased.

The bride was a widow and aged 32 years. She lived at 21 Bredisholm Terrace, Baillieston. Both of her parents were deceased.

The marriage was registered at Baillieston on 29 March 1951.
