General Notes: Ellen Hanigan, lawful daughter of William Hanigan and Isabella McKenny, was baptised in December 1849 by Charles Reid. One sponsor was recorded: Ellen Williams. Research Notes: CHARLOTTE STREET, PORT DUNDAS, GLASGOW Medical Notes: John L. Torley, MB ChB certified the causes of death. Ellen married John McCORMICK, son of Hugh McCORMICK and Susan HARRIS, on 23 June 1873 in St Francis RC Church, Cumberland Street, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (John McCORMICK was born about 1850 in Glasgow, Scotland 7 and died 21 February 1908 at 4.20 pm in Eastern District Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland 4.). The cause of his death was cardiac degeneration, dropsy and cardiac failure.2 Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Fr Gomain Peeters of St Francis' Chapel. The witnesses were James McDivit and Catherine McCormick. |
