John married Anne GRANT, daughter of Colonel John GRANT 5th (and last) of Carron and Anne OGILVY.1 (Anne GRANT was born about 1712 and died on 15 April 1777 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Lieutenant-Colonel John Grant of Lurg, who, on 2d May 1772, as eldest lawful son gave up his father's testament. He is frequently mentioned as a witness. In 1751 he obtained a further prorogation of the wadset of his lands, and in 1774 was appointed a Commissioner of Supply for Elgin and Forres. He died before 15th July 1786. He married Anne, daughter of Colonel John Grant of Carron, who predeceased him, dying on 15th April 1777."
