He was a Commissioner of Supply for Elgin and Forres in 1774, and in 1777 obtained from Sir James Grant a lease of the lands of Delnabo." John married Jean GORDON, daughter of Reverend Mr James GORDON Minister of Cabrach parish and Elizabeth GRANT.1 (Jean GORDON was born on 25 September 1752.)
