"Memorial, erected in 1602 by Alexander Annand, the laird of Auchterellon. It comprises three three pilastered panels. On the left is a memorial to Alexander Annand who died in 1601 and his wife Margaret Fraser who dies in August 1602. On the right is a memorial to Alexander Annand and Margaret Cheyne, though their dates of death were never inscribed. The central panel has pairs of fine gryphons, fanciful ogee arches and the Annand family coat-of-arms above, with overall cornice. The memorial was formerly in old kirk, and now stands in the churchyard of the present parish church (NJ93SE0033). It was restored in 1995."
