Helen married Robert CRICHTON of Bainshole or Drumdollo. (Robert CRICHTON of Bainshole or Drumdollo was born about 1615.) Marriage Notes: "He married (according to the Lyon Register and Balbithan MS.), Helen, daughter of [Robert] Bisset of Lessendrum. She was the widow of Robert Crichton of Bainshole, otherwise Drumdollo, and being a papist had been the object of much attention to the Presbytery of Turriff; her mother was a daughter of George Gordon, III. of Coclarachie and Bessie Duncan, daughter of the laird of Merdrum." Helen next married Alexander GORDON 5th Laird of Birkenburn, & Commissioner of Supply, son of James GORDON 4th Laird of Birkenburn, Commissioner of Supply for Banffshire and Janet MAITLAND.1 2 (Alexander GORDON 5th Laird of Birkenburn, & Commissioner of Supply was born about 1633 and died on 19 June 1709 2.) Marriage Notes: "The Last named Alexander Gordon of Birkenburn married Hellen Bisset Lessendrum's daughter, with whom he begat three Sons, viz Alxr Gordon his eldest Son who dyed unmarried, James Gordon the second Son who also dyed unmarried both in the flower of their Age, William Gordon his third Son now present Laird of Birkenburn married Magdalen Duff Provost William Duffs daughter in Inverness |
