Bessie married George GORDON 3rd of Coclarachie, son of George GORDON of Blairdinnie, 2nd of Coclarachie and Daughter GORDON.1 (George GORDON 3rd of Coclarachie was born about 1546 in Blairdinnie, Clatt, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died before 19 August 1633 1.) Marriage Notes: "George Gordon, III. of Coclarachie, married Bessie, daughter of James Duncan of Merdrum. Bessie Duncan survived her husband [.....] In 1636 'the guidwyff of Coclarachie' was residing in Old Aberdeen (Munro's Old Aberdeen, i., 354); and probably the charter of liferent to Grissell Seton on December 15, 1643 (Appendix VII.), was granted shortly after Bessie Duncan's death." |
