Mary married James GORDON 8th of Beldorney and Camdell, son of Alexander GORDON of Tirriesoul and Camdell, then 7th of Beldorney and Geillis MACDONELL 'of Keppoch', about 1722.1 (James GORDON 8th of Beldorney and Camdell was born about 1687.)

  Marriage Notes:

"James Gordon, who succeeded his father as laird of Beldorney, married Mary, daughter of John Gordon, a cadet of the Terpersie family, who was laird of Law, in Kennethmont, and had acquired Kildrummie and Wardhouse.

Most of the foregoing is based upon information received from Messrs Wilsone and Duffus. I believe it to be fairly correct" (page 3)

"The 3rd laird of Law .... John Gordon, by his first wife, a daughter of Mr Robert Irvine, minister of Towie .... had a son Arthur, and a daughter Mary, who married James Gordon, VIIIth laird of Beldorney, probably about 1722." (page 29)
