"SIR EDWARD DE KEITH succeeded his brother Sir Robert upon the latter's death at the battle of Durham in October 1346. In the year 1328 he held the office of Sheriff of Selkirk. In an inquisition, held at Aberdeen, dated 1341, before Robert de Keth, Great Marischal of Scotland, his name appears as one of the jurors. He died before 1351."
