from Scots Peerage (vol 8) 1

  Research Notes:

RELATIONSHIPS

The thinking behind the placing of Saer, Adam and Richard as brothers is a] that Saer is named as the son of Dougal in a charter granted about the year 1246 by Roger de Quincy, Earl of Winchester (Poms website).

According to a footnote on page 563 of Scots Peerage (vol. 8), Adam too was a beneficiary:
"Master Adam de Seton had a charter from Roger de Quincy, Earl of Winchester and Constable of Scotland, apparently in 1246 (Harl. Mss. 4693 fol. 136)"
This suggests they may well have been brothers.

Lastly, Richard is named as the brother of Adam, his chaplain, in the Lennox Cartulary. 1 2 3

Adam married.
