Margaret married Robert INNES of Rothmackenzie and 1st of Crombie (Crommey), son of Sir James INNES 12th of that Ilk, 'James with the beard' and Janet GORDON.¹ (Robert INNES of Rothmackenzie and 1st of Crombie (Crommey) was born about 1468 and died before 6 March 1536 ³.)

Robert Innes, second son of James Innes of that Ilk. He was usually designed of Rothmackenzie ; he married a daughter of William Meldrum of Fyvie, by whom he had two sons : 1. James. 2. Alexander (see Note below), ancestor of the Inneses of Coitts."
