"GD1/474/7 Disposition by Dr. Thomas Gordon, physician in Peterhead, in favour of his eldest son in life, John Gordon, shipmaster in London, of tenement on the south side of the Broadgate of Peterhead in parish thereof, shire of Aberdeen, under reservation. With note by granter added 21 Aug 1770"

'John Gordon, mariner, London, benefited under the settlement of Captain John Thomson, Aberdeen, in 1776. He was probably father of :
— Thomas Gordon in London, who was served heir to his grandfather, Thomas Gordon of Coynach, physician
