"Thomas Gordon was served heir general to his father, 'John Gordon of Coynach,' January 16. 1724. He was a physician in Peterhead, and died in 1782, aged 82. He married Jean Thomson of the Faichfield family ('Notes and Queries,' 4th series, vol xii. p. 516; 5th series, vol. i., p. 293."
