Unusually, no source is noted for this placing of Agnes within the family of the Stewarts of Rosyth. John A. Rupert-Jones, editor of Rosyth, states that
"(Sir) David Stewart of Rosyth succeeded his father in 1514. He married Christian, daughter of Lord Erskine, Earl of Mar."
Agnes is not mentioned in that volume.
Margaret Douglas, daughter of Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven, married David's son Henry before 12 August 1516. 3
