It is unclear where the date of marriage as c 1430 comes from.
Lives of the Baillies says on page 17:

"
He (William Baillie who married Catherine Hamilton) was one of the hostages sent to England for payment of the ransom-money of King James I., who had been taken prisoner by King Henry IV. of England on 13th March 1405, and only allowed to return to Scotland on the death of King Henry V. of England, and that on payment of a large ransom. Sir William Baillie was exchanged for David Leslie of Leslie in 1432." 1 2
